Secluded Farmhouse With Private Lake

Gallt Yr Adar Fawr – A Spacious Farmhouse in a Peaceful Welsh Valley

Nestling in a beautiful valley, surrounded by wooded hills and overlooking its own lake, Gallt Yr Adar Fawr is a spacious, comfortable five-bedroom farmhouse set within our 200-acre farmland estate. It offers a peaceful and relaxing escape from the pressures of everyday life.

Whether you're fishing on the lake, enjoying a barbecue on the terrace or simply watching the abundant wildlife, this is a place to slow down, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the Welsh countryside.

The farmhouse sleeps up to eight guests and offers generous living space, excellent facilities and everything you need to feel at home.

Lounge

The spacious lounge has three comfortable leather sofas, making it the perfect place to gather with family and friends. On chilly evenings, settle down around the warmth of the log fire and enjoy a relaxing night in.

Kitchen & Dining

The large, well-equipped farmhouse kitchen has everything you need, whether you're preparing a simple meal or cooking up an epicurean feast.

A large pine dining table provides plenty of room for everyone to gather, enjoy a meal and share a glass of wine while the conversation flows.

We provide tea towels, dishcloths and cleaning products to make your stay that little bit easier.

Laundry Room & Cloakroom

Beyond the kitchen is a separate laundry room equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. There's also a second fridge/freezer, providing additional storage for food and drinks.

A back door leads directly to the rear of the house, and an adjacent cloakroom has a WC and hand basin.

The farmhouse has five bedrooms, sleeping up to eight guests, with a choice of sleeping arrangements to suit families and groups.

Snooker Room & Games

Enjoy a game of snooker on the quarter size, slate bed table in the Snooker Room while the kids amuse themselves with a choice of board and card games.

Garden, Terrace & Lake

Step outside onto the covered terrace, where garden furniture provides the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst supper is cooking on the barbecue.

The lake is stocked with a variety of fish for the hobby fisherman, and the surrounding countryside is rich in wildlife including visiting dicks and geese in the spring.

A Peaceful Rural Retreat

At night, the location is near silent except for the odd owl hooting or the wind rustling in the trees, and the sky is properly dark except for the moon and stars - a perfect recipe for the townie needing a good nights sleep.

Your Hosts

We are Martin and Karen, and we look forward to welcoming you to Gallt Yr Adar Fawr.

As a little welcome, we provide a complimentary tray of tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks to help you settle in.

Our own home is several hundred metres away along the farm track, so we're close enough to help if needed, while leaving you to enjoy the peace and privacy of your own holiday home.

We manage the farmhouse with the help of our co-host, Aysha, and our groundsman, Andy.
